- Rock Me! -

I love Anna Sui’s perfume especially Rock Me! Anna Sui’s fragrance is very suitable to today young ladies and teenagers. Not only the fragrance but also its bottle design is so elegant, chic yet very lady-like. It combined the present ladies’ modern style with the little girls’ dream of fairy tales and fantasy.

Anyway, I bought my first Anna Sui’s perfume, Rock Me! at the Duty Free shop in the airport and the price is way cheaper than the shops out there. In my humble opinion, I find the concept of Rock Me! is actually very attractive. It was comprised with a little wild, rock n roll, naughty yet very sweet fragrance. The smell was comprised of wild young floral fruity essence. A bit sweet with floral fragrance so it is more suitable for the teens and for the young ladies in their early 20s. It smells young. However, it does bring out a personality! So that’s why I love the concept, the design and the fragrance as well…!!!


Another thing caught my attention is the model who promotes this Rock Me! fragrance. She is Agyness Deyn – the current hot, famous and top model. If you flipped through the girls’ magazines, you’ll definitely see her face or see her modeling for the prominent designers. I like her cool and chic personality including her hair style and sense of high fashion. I am totally keen on the short hairs gals. Don’t ask me why. I just found them very attractive and cool.

-Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen-

After watched Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen, I have a deep impression would like to share here with. Not only the Legend of the Fist but also Ip Man and other Chinese legendary soul especially during the war period on how the Chinese fought for their independence and country.

As I was not chinese-educated, I didn’t know much about the Chinese history; neither have I studied nor concerned with the Chinese traditions and culture. So I am more influenced by the western culture. No wonder my family always scolded me for not having a real Chinese mindset. All the while I like Japanese, interested and impressed with their technologies, their trendy styles, their fashion sense, their country as well as their man and woman because they look pretty and handsome. I even had a wish, when I was a kid, to marry a Japanese guy (maybe I had watched too much Japanese dramas that time till I had a mindset that Japanese guys are all good-looking but the truth is they are really good looking…..~)

Anyway, what I would like to express here is I felt sad for the Chinese back in those world war period and how the Japanese treated the Chinese was really dreadful especially those girls. The Chinese courage and sacrificed spirit were something that we should felt proud and admire of. Saluted to them. After watched all those movies, I started to change my frame of mind towards Japanese. I would not be interested in Japanese guys anymore and of course, I would not boycott their technologies, their trendy culture and country. After all, I am not the type of person who is vigorously defended in beliefs as well. Democratic, okay…~

Donnie Yen starts to gain his fame now after all these years of hard work and I really felt glad for him. Before his popularity, I am already a small fan of him and love to watch his movie but he is seldom appeared in the movies or not as a male leading actor back in those years when Jet Li and Jackie Chan have conquered the action movies. I am also a fan of Jet Li. Both Donnie Yen and Jet Li are doing a great job in interpreting those Chinese legendary souls such as Chen Zhen, Ip Man, Wong Fei Hung, Huo Yuan Jia and etc, or brought out their Chinese spirit into the movies. It was poignant to watch their movies even though they were an action/fighting films.

p/s: Donnie Yen has a great body, so muscular and so man …. Drooling….~ hehe \(^_^)/


Shu Qi is improving a lot especially her acting skills. At first, I don’t really like her and don’t think that she is pretty but now the more I watched her movie, the more I think she is actually quite attractive in her personality. She has innocence pretty yet looks seductive as well especially her eyes. She is a tough girl too after what she had done in the past. She has successfully proved to the world and gained recognition.

Alright, here is my conclusion - the Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen is a movie that you should spend money and watch in the cinema. It is a great movie too although there is a bit confusion in the end. If you love to watch Ip Man, then you’ll definitely find this movie is entertaining as well.

It is my birthday today. Mixed feelings as I am not sure whether to be happy or sad. Happy because it is my day, I was born to this world on this day so it is special. Sad because my age is growing again and followed with the time passed, gradually I lost interest in celebrating my birthday ... maybe my growing age has forbid me not to have those passion or excitement anymore ~

My birthday is always very simple. Accepting wishes and having a dinner. No more present and not throwing a party. But this year it is quite lonesome to celebrate the birthday....oh well, with my family but not the special one and with friends. I got to be grateful with everything given to me.

- Happy Mid-AutuMn FestiVal -

I know I know...the Mid-Autumn festival had already passed two days ago but still I want to do a blogging on this.


The 'Swan' is a symbol or landmark for Sibu town. Where did the authorities get the idea of this swan thingy?? Well, when they started to discuss of finding a landmark or symbol for Sibu, there came a flock of birds "migrated" to Sibu (I have no idea of what species of birds but their feathers are all in white and have a long legs, a bit bigger and looks similar to the swan~) . So that was how the authorities got the idea of landmarking Sibu as a 'Swan Town'. In Sibu, you'll see the Swan statues in the parks or at the tourism spots.




This year our authorities really did worked something for the town after the heat election in the mid of this year if you still can recalled. The lighting of lantern really did brighten this bored town. The whole streets were lighten by this colorful lanterns and I love the view. ^.^

People flocked to the Sibu Square just to view all these lighting lanterns. There was a small fun fair and exhibition to entertain the local communities. I was amazed to see lots of "professional" photographers, what I mean is only now I realized that even Sibu people or the youngsters and even uncles nowadays are so into this DSLR camera. Each of them was holding a DSLR and got big lens, small lens, tripod trying to capture the pictures, looks like a photography competition to me. I felt so "small" yet I am proud to hold my GF-1 as well because it makes me felt like a professional photographer. Lolz ~!!! At that moment, I really felt a bit regret for not buying Canon EOS550D but quickly brushed off the thought.


The picture above is the fresh fruit bunches (oil palm). It was made by one of the established Group in Sibu.


Have you ever see the Doraemon mooncake?? Well, neither did I. Very creative and looks cute if compared to those tradition mooncakes. Among all the mooncakes brand, I still prefer or only eat Baker's Cottage mooncake because they are innovative and each year they will come out with the new taste - to target the youngsters such as tiramisu, mocha or chocolate. But normally I will only taste a very small slice of mooncake as I don't really like to eat mooncake. Don't ask me why.



-Happy Mid-Autumn Festival-

- Le Ark Cafe -

Le Ark Cafe is owned by one of the established group in Sibu. It is nicely build both interior and exterior. It is located along the Rejang River and about 5 minutes walking distance from Kingwood Hotel. Le Ark Cafe is mainly concentrated on Thai Cuisine and partially western cuisine.

However, it was difficult to find a parking space there. The area was extremely quiet and deserted at night. Only left those local natives or Indonesian loitering at the park in gang or some were dating. It was quite danger especially for gals as you do not know what will they do especially when they drunk or after drugs. So I avoided to go there alone unless there is a companion.



From its name, you can guessed that it was connected to the bible. So the programme showed on TV and magazines there are all on self-motivation and christian stuff.







'Papaya Milk' - heard that drinking papaya milk would help to boost the breast, not sure whether this folk tale was true or not. But anyway, I am drinking this papaya milk not because I want to upgrade my bra cup but mainly for my digestion. For your information, papaya contains a high fibre which will help in digestion.


Phad Thai. Hmmm I would say this dish just so so only. I don't really like the taste but it was not that bad either. It was something similar to nasi pattaya except that it was kway tiau being wrapped inside with bean sprouts.



I like this dish - Thai Seafood Salad. The taste was spicy yet sour. Most importantly, the dish was not fattening because it contained vegetables and those squid and prawn were boiled instead of fried.

- Sarawak Laksa -

Introduced another widely known dish in Sarawak - 'Laksa'. It was different from the Curry Laksa in West Malaysia. I still prefer Sarawak Laksa. It contained mee hoon, small prawns, sliced egg, and bean sprouts. It came with sambal and lime. The soup, I heard that they put coconut milk in it to make it smell good.

I was having Laksa for my brunch today. It has been quite a certain period I didn't eat Laksa because it was hard to find a good Laksa in Sibu recently. Since everything was on the rise, one bowl of Laksa today also costed RM3.50 - RM4.00.

-Dian Bian Hu-

'Dian Bian Hu' (pronounced in Foochow dialect) or also known as 'Bubur Kuali' by the local natives here in Sibu, Sarawak. Dian Bian Hu is the tradition/old/local Foochow dish passed down from one generation to the next generation. The Foochow elders normally take this dish as one of their breakfast in those old days. Sibu is famous for its dian bian hu too aside from the fame of its 'Kampua Mee' and 'Kompia'. The elders still love this dish very much while the youngster today was not so keen on it but of course there was an exceptional case. I still remembered vividly that my parents will brought us to have this Dian Bian Hu at the back alley of old shops often when we were kid. It was cheap during old days and if I am not wrong, it started to cost about RM1.50/bowl then increased to RM3.50 - RM4.50/bowl today.



Well, it contains of fish ball, 'wood ear' or also known as edible black fungus, sliced squid, minced pork, and other additives.

-My HoneymOon-

'My Honeymoon' - is a dessert shop where you can hang out at on the sunny days or if you are looking for a light dessert. I like the shop name. It is very creative, sweet and easy to remember.

I accidentally bumped into this dessert corner at the foodcourt in Pavillion when I was searching for a food to feed my growling stomach.


From the far view, I thought it was a real books arranging on the shelves. It really made me felt excited to see so many books. But to my dismay, it was a drawing...errr..wallpaper when I take a closer view.


Mango pancake. At first, we were still indecisive on whether to choose durian or mango. After few seconds of struggling, we finally decided to try mango pancake instead. Why? Because both of us are afraid that we might had a durian taste in our breath after consumed. We still need to catch a flight afterwards. Anyway, this mango pancake taste good too~!!


If I didn't remembered wrongly, that was called soya ice-cream. I forgot the taste already but my dear says good. ^.^



Mine one was called 'Strawberry sth sth'. Forgot the name as well. Sigh, memories not so good already. I like this one too. So thumbs up~!! Would recommended for those really really into dessert or if you are looking for a place to hang out. But the prices kinda expensive....~ So the conclusion is you can try out if you don't mind about the price.

My favourite quotes from the movie, "Letters to Juliet" casted by Amanda Seyfried. It was a heart-warming and romantic travelogue film. Amanda Seyfried looks so pretty with her long golden blond hairs and sweet smile. I love to see her movie. For your additional information, she also casted in "Dear John" based on a bestseller novel by Nicholas Sparks.

Dear Diary,

Today is a sunny Sunday. I woke up early this morning with a heavy feeling inside me. The moment I opened my eyes I already started to miss him. But told myself numerous times that I will be fine and yes, I can do it...alone.

Listening to my favorite songs in the morning really did make me feel better. There's nothing can beat me down. I got to be tough. Ain't I have get used to this loneliness??

Music is my best companion and inspiration. Movies and Dramas filled up my life experiences and opened up my vision to the World out there where I have never been to. Books added up my knowledge and skill. So they are important in my daily life.

Tomorrow will be a better day again...~ ^.^

Dear Diary,

Today the date itself has an unforgettable memories across the World especially to US citizen. 11 September, a day which people would not forget, a day which had shocked the World back in year 2001 and U.S people mourned over the loss and recalled the painful memories. Till today the pictures of the planes crashed into the buildings and the buildings collapsing still gave me a shivering feeling. Sigh, I am very sensitive to this kind of issue especially when I saw those photos of people dying, natural diasters, or people crying, I would dropped tears and feeling sad while need a certain of time to stabilize my emotion. It was out of my control. When I realized, the tears already at the edge of my eyes.

Anyway, today I felt sad because my dear is going back to Taiwan. I am going to be alone and lead my lonely life again. The feeling was so mixed up till I felt like a zombie whole day. I am going to miss him badly. Sighhhhhhhhhh, that is why I really dislike the long distance relationship ~ I am counting the days again. How am I going to survive the days till he comes back for the next semester???!!! Making myself busy and arranged lots of things for me to busy with. It can help me gone through the day but the loneliness inside me is uncurable. Arggghhhhhhh~!!!!!!

- Famous Kolo Mee-

'Kolo Mee' is famous across Sarawak, in specific, it was famous in Kuching, Sarawak. Heard that it was originated from Kuching then people started to do this Kolo Mee business across Sarawak and even in West Malaysia. Meanwhile, Sibu is famous with its "Kampua Mee". Actually Kampua Mee looks almost the same like Kolo Mee. The difference?? No idea as I didn't try them before. But Kolo Mee always come with fishball and vegetables while Kampua Mee only has meat and some fried onion spreading on it.

Most Sarawakians love this mee while I didn't showed much interest at all (I am more interested in Beef Noodles~!!) So most of my friends are saying that I am not a pure Sarawakian. Hmmm I did not like the smell of onion in it, and the mee itself is very fattening. Worse, they are using "Pig Oil" to cook this mee and that's the vital recipe to its nice smell and taste. Since I am very "health conscious", I have forbidded myself to eat this mee. I strongly insisted for Mee Hoon and Kway Tiau only. ^.^

There's a few days in the month which I really really hated most. PMS ('Premenstrual Syndrome') period~!!!!

Most of the girls seem to interpret PMS wrongly. They thought that PMS is the period when they are on their menstrual period but no, PMS is not the period when seeing the red~!!! PMS is actually pre-menstrual syndrome, in a simple words to describe, means a week or days before seeing the red is called PMS.

I have a serious matter with PMS. Each time on my PMS period, I feel depressed and have a serious low self-esteem. I got pimples on my face. I feel dizzy, nausea and bloated. I am craving for food most of the times even though I just finished my meal and after that a huge guilt crossed over me. I feel fat and ugly. I have a bad hair day. My mood swings badly - One minute happy and the next minute I am sulking there. It is like a taking a ride through hell ....!!! So boyfriends or husbands, you guys really have to bear with us especially during these critical period. We really do not feel good and that's why we are throwing tantrums or giving such a huge drama over a small matter.

-Visit tO Temple-

It has been a certain of period I am not dropping any message here. Reason?? Yeah, I have been attacked by "Lazybug".

I have bought Lumix GF-1 as a birthday present for myself. Well, it costed me dearly till I need to "eat grass" for a few months ~ On top of that, I really love my GF-1 so much and still trying out its function. Kinda difficult to understand though. Anyway, so off I went to Temple with my dear and parents. I am a devoted Christian but I do respect other religions too. So there is nothing wrong for me to visit the Temple. Wondering why Temple?? Let me brief a bit on this temple. Well, this temple has a name but since it is in chinese and the name is way too long, I can't remember the name of this temple. So forgive me on this. ^.^ This temple is newly built in Sibu and heard that it is the largest in South East Asia. It took about 45 minutes drive from Sibu town. Since its grand opening, I have yet set my foot in there so I decided to pay a visit there.

A bad move to visit the temple at 12 o'clock in the noon as it was scorching hot and I was like burning both inside and outside. I got sunburned. Luckily it didn't get any worse.


It is a big temple and have massive "Buddhist God Statue". I just stayed outside the compound and snapping photos while a quick glance at the statues timidly, just out of my curiousity. But I love their fine art sculptures. It was unique and mysterious. I have always been curious of the story behind of all those Buddhist God and of course, sometimes I did wondered whether those stories are fictional or non-fictional.

Guess the meaning of this chinese idiom?? Okay, I have probed the meaning already. It means ....... Oh no, I forget...It basically means you will still see the light at the end of tunnel and there is always hope or miracle awaiting for us. Ya, something like that. ^.^


Those God statues are definitely not a stranger to us. We have known them from the drama, movie and even heard of thousand times of their stories.

*Guess what, I met a backpacker foreigner there and he is actually asking me to capture photos for him using his NIkon DSLR. I am so nervous using his DSLR as I am not good in it. Not sure whether he is trying to console me or what but he is saying the photos are well captured. Lolz. Sighhhh, so envy of his backpacking travelling. I hope that one day, I can do the same too...~ ^.^*
