Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter (Jim Sturgess) meet on the night of their university graduation. They supposed to have one night stand however it didn't turn out that way and they become a good friend. Their anniversary date - 15th July. Through the years, they grow apart as their lives take different direction and they meet other people. But as they grow apart from those other people and their lives start taking opposite directions again, Emma and Dexter find that they actually belong with each other.
My humble thought:
The first question came across me after watched the film is W.H.Y.??? Why? Why?!!! Why are they spending 20 years to find their love for each other? Why are they wasting their time on other people and end up, they are actually belong with each other? Okay, I would put the blame on Dexter as he is a womanizer and he didn't realize that he is actually fall in love with Emma. They are such a good friend. Being there for each other. They even can sleep together without "anything" happened. They do not feel awkward at all. Amazing friendship. I love it. But to find such opposite gender friend is difficult in the reality. Either you will get dumped by your bf/gf or getting tear into pieces by his/her gf/bf. Is normal. I also hard to accept his 'so called' best girl friend if they are so close like Emma and Dexter. *shrug*
So the ending? I didn't want to be a spoiler. But I bet that whoever has watched this film will have the same feeling as mine. Why are they wasting their 20 years searching for love while their love is just right beside them? So take a look at the "friend" beside you first. He/she might be the one. *wink* (For those already married, don't look anymore!)
