Movies Day

Oh yeah. After this month, I am a free man!! Nope. There is a never-ending work awaiting ahead. But gladly to announce that we have finished our annual report and circular to shareholders. Announcement checked. Advertisement checked. Distribution checked. So it was 80% done. Now we only wait for our AGM and EGM which scheduled to be held at the end of this month. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

After all the hardwork, stress and pressure, I guess I need some relaxation activity to comfort myself. We headed to cinema and watched two great movies in a row. The Avengers and Battleship. Yes, a boring activity! Lolz. Who doesn't like this two movies? Tell me. I am gonna kick his ass. Just kidding. So far this two movies didn't disappointed me and they were on my best movies chart for this year at the moment.

The first half of Avengers might be boring to some people because the avengers did a lot of 'talking'. Some audience, even my dear is falling asleep in the first half. Gosh, how can he?!!! Maybe he is too tired and he didn't watched Thor so he didn't know who is Loki. I was so excited to see the 'super heroes' gathered together to fight off the bad guy. I like all of them - Captain America, Thor, Ironman, The Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye. They played their own character quite well and didn't overshadow one another.

Battleship is cool. I always like those US navy, army and air forces especially those forces flying in the sky. At first, I didn't look good on battleship because of Rihanna. But then everyone says how awesome and great it was. I decided to give it a try. See, I am a curious cat. Their feedback had successfully aroused my curiousity. Guess what, it was really awesome! I honoured the army's spirit, dedication, leadership and their teamwork in their battle/war. Although there were some humourous part in this movie, well, just ignore that and you'll definitely enjoyed the movie.

If you think I am exaggerating here, then go and watch it yourself. You won't regret, I promise~ o(^.^)o

Food Passion

After a long and stressful day, food is one thing that can puts a smile on my face and make me feel 'satisfy'. Well, relax and de-stress for a moment. Indulge in a food that I love is a moment that I enjoy most. A nice ambience cafe is a credit as well.

Since when I start to love and appreciate the food so much?! That's a long story but it all happened after my appendix surgery. I had an appendicitis. Seriously, I nearly lost my life to that small thing in my body which I never expected it to be so 'poisonous'. After hospitalised and been in a hunger state for a week (plus eating the porridge and liquid food for a few months during the recovery process), I realized the importance of eating the food while you are still able to and to feel gratitude for the food that lay in front of you. So that made me today! *guilt face* Ermmm.....although I am a picky eater, *ahem* I still enjoyed my moment with food that I LOVE and indulged with gratitude in my heart. Honestly.

Wait, I didn't make a pig of myself or binged on food. I do still control my appetite. So ...... here you go, I would like to show some food I ate. If you do follow me on instagram, you have already seen all the photos below. *paiseh* I am making myself doing a double work. I know. =)

The Hunger Games

The hunger games, another film based on the novel written by Suzanne Collins and surprisingly, it is no.1 in the box office. Out of curiosity, I went to watch this film to see how good it is. No offence to the hunger games fans but I found the film is just so so only. It is kinda boring in the first half and I didn't understand some parts of the movie.

Another question, isn't this novel is for the young adult/teen? But then the story is cruelsome for the teens and the film is rated PG-13. Still you would see flocks of teenagers and kids went to the theatre to watch this movie. The movie is talking about the Capitol will selects 2 teenagers, a boy and a girl, to represent their own district every year to fight to the death on the live television in a dystopian future. So in order to survive, the teenagers have to kill each other. Isn't the games too brutal? However, there are two survivors in the 74th year of Hunger Games. Exceptional case. And there are going to be a sequel.......(which I believe it will going to be an exciting games~) What amazed me is the clothes and colors wore by the people in the Capitol. Very colorful and trendy.

If you are a big fan of Liam Hemsworth then you are going to feel disappoint because he only appears in 2 or 3 scenes. But don't worry, he will be a lead male in the sequels. Do you know that Liam Hemsworth is actually a baby brother to Chris Hemsworth, the Thor?? I only knew it a day ago. No wonder their face look so alike.

Okay lar. It is unfair for me to say that the movie is so so only because I didn't know the whole story and read the book beforehand. So I was confused with certain scenes. Anyway, just watch it yourself and be the judge.

One Day

The storyline goes like this: (shamefully extracted from the website with a bit add-on from me)

Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter (Jim Sturgess) meet on the night of their university graduation. They supposed to have one night stand however it didn't turn out that way and they become a good friend. Their anniversary date - 15th July. Through the years, they grow apart as their lives take different direction and they meet other people. But as they grow apart from those other people and their lives start taking opposite directions again, Emma and Dexter find that they actually belong with each other.

My humble thought:

The first question came across me after watched the film is W.H.Y.??? Why? Why?!!! Why are they spending 20 years to find their love for each other? Why are they wasting their time on other people and end up, they are actually belong with each other? Okay, I would put the blame on Dexter as he is a womanizer and he didn't realize that he is actually fall in love with Emma. They are such a good friend. Being there for each other. They even can sleep together without "anything" happened. They do not feel awkward at all. Amazing friendship. I love it. But to find such opposite gender friend is difficult in the reality. Either you will get dumped by your bf/gf or getting tear into pieces by his/her gf/bf. Is normal. I also hard to accept his 'so called' best girl friend if they are so close like Emma and Dexter. *shrug*

So the ending? I didn't want to be a spoiler. But I bet that whoever has watched this film will have the same feeling as mine. Why are they wasting their 20 years searching for love while their love is just right beside them? So take a look at the "friend" beside you first. He/she might be the one. *wink* (For those already married, don't look anymore!)

New Image

I have abandoned my blog for more than a month. As usual, I am kinda busy with my own stuff lately.

Changed my blog image to blue color this time. No more pink or green color. Kinda fed up with those colors. Blue represented my emotion right now. I am blue = moody. No more colorful font tab or fancy stuff. Everything just back to basic and .... simple. I guess I am facing some late 20's crisis. Lolzzz. Seriously, I am. I felt emo most of the times.

Sigh. A busy month for me - writing reports for Annual Report, preparing meetings' stuff and rush to meet the deadline. I ranted a lot. In fact, I never stopped my ranting and complaining. Damn, not a good sign. Sounds like a grudge woman. I should learn to control myself from doing that.

- 'Post Office Theme' -

Some of my Instagram photos. All these snapshots were taken at Taoyuan International Airport Departure Hall. It was one of the waiting room that was designed into 'post office' with a historical timeline and 'antique' post office stuff.

Authentic??

It had been extremely long I did not touch my blog. I was kinda fed up with it because I have found other better entertainment such as Instagram. At least I don’t have to come up with ideas on what to blog and checking my poor grammar. *shrug*

Anyway, there’s a dissatisfaction feeling inside me that I have to let it out somewhere. So shamefully, yes, I was going to blog it here. I heard of something which I find it quite offensive and “insulting” my hard work. My mum blurted it out to me incidentally, which I understand that she was keeping it from me with a good intention. It was not a big deal, really. Okay, here’s what I heard. Some relatives were questioning on my graduation photo. Their question was did I really graduated? Was my certificate authentic? See, no big deal right? I truly understand on their query to my certificate. Is not because I was not qualified. By looking at my graduation photo framed beautifully on the wall, I would question as well. Because I was holding a “fake” certificate that was made up of A4 size paper. There was an explanation to it. I took the studio graduation photo a few days earlier than my actual graduation day. So it explained. I haven’t obtained my real certificate roll. Why I took the photo so early? Because I have to go back hometown after my graduation day so it left me no time to go and take those studio photos. Okay, I was so anxious and content till I couldn’t wait on the day itself. It was my first time, what. I didn’t know there was a certificate roll until I got it on graduation then I realized something missing in my photos. Too late, right. I was a poor student so I couldn’t manage to pay another amount to shoot another roll of graduation photos.

Sigh. I felt insulted with their question because first, it clearly showed that they were looking down at me (I am okay with it or should I say I have gotten used to it) and secondly, did they understand what hardships and setbacks I had went through during pursuing my degree? It was like a hell to me. I was in a depression state. How many times I had thought of giving up? I admitted that I was not a born-smart person. But I had tried and study so hard for it. The lecturers were so damn arrogant and looking down on people like me. Heaps of assignments, projects, presentations and exams. A nightmare to me! I was having insomnia during those days. So how can they judge me like that? Even till today, they still were judging me that I was only doing an “admin” work in an office. “A very simple and easy job”. wtf.

I am doing an admin/secretarial work but it was not an easy job. Oh my, do I have to explain in details on what I did? Even if I told, you people wouldn’t understand what is my job scope as well. In a simpler way, I was handling all the documents related to listing since our company is a public listed and my work is 'private and confidential' because it was related to the whole group of companies. Something like I know when to get the bonus and how much is the bonus given beforehand. Issue like acquisition of a company, shares or bla bla bla. I was serving those Directors, arrange for the board meeting, annual general meeting and whatsoever they need. It was a stress and pressure work too. Sometimes I just fed up with people judging me without better understanding including my relatives and friends. I didn’t have that fate to live luxuriously and everything goes smoothly with golden spoon on my mouth. I didn’t have a good brain. I didn’t graduate with a first class honour or excellence grade. But I really, really, really worked so hard for them. At least, God hears my prayer and did let me graduate with Second class honour, get me a good job with a not-so-bad salary. I was able to live well, eat well and dress well although is not lavish. I live humbly, talk humbly and smile humbly and that doesn’t mean that you people can judge me like that. Wtf.

Conclusion is my graduation certificate is authentic!!!! Don’t force me to frame my ‘certificate’ on the wall for you people to see! I didn’t have that much money to buy the ‘certificate’. I proudly obtained it with my hard works and ‘smartness’. Damn~
