-YangShuo, China-

It had been a month since I was back from my trip to Guilin and yet, I still have not finished posting my blog on it. Hmmm I am really really really attacked by the lazy bug!!!

Okay, I skipped and jumped to Yangshuo, China instead. This is the town that I would recommend to pay a visit to. The town is clean and it is surrounded by the mountains. The air is refreshing with nice picturesque scenery and cold breeze which can catch your breath away and brighten your day. Especially when you woke up in the morning and looked out the hotel window. When they said Guilin has nice scenery, it was WRONG; not Guilin but it is actually Yangshuo – approximately two hours bus ride from Guilin town.

There is a famous street called West Street. It has restaurants, bar, disco, coffee shop and shops but it was difficult to negotiate the price with them. The sellers hold their price firmly unless you met some nice people who were willing to cut down the price. It was crowded with tourists – western mostly. So the West Street is a nice place to hang out at night in YangShuo.

He comes from Tibet. Quite pity them as it was hard for them to do business in China especially when there is a communication barrier. They can speak some basic mandarin to do the selling. I have no idea what are they selling.

'Dream and Hope Coffee House' - Hmmmm I like the name in chinese but when translated to english, it sounded a bit weird. Anyway, I like the ambience. Very "chinese-feel", a tradition coffee house with a mixed of western style. Do you get what I meant?? Is okay if you don't get it. Because I myself also didn't know how to describe that feeling. Hard to express that "feeling". So the better way is you go and try yourself. Lolz~!!!!

I love these three bears the most. They looked so adorable....~ If can, I want to take them home with me!!! See, please do not disturb them....They are having a meal~!!!

- Feng ShuI tO tacKle villain??-

Oooppsss, please do not get it wrong ~ The villain I meant here is not those who are really bad and aggresive people. I was actually talking about the backstabbers, betrayers or attention-grabbers who might affected you in the office or involved in the office politics.

The tradition way to tackle those villain was like....for example in Hong Kong or Cantonese, they would employed a middle aged aunty to help them hitting on a paper doll with a slipper/shoes while sort of chanting a mantra. I had never tried that before. Hmmmmm. No, it never came across me to use that method.

Another way - often heard and I also believed that it had become a basic way, that is, put Cactus on your office desk but have to find the right feng shui/direction. You can read it from Lillian Too's Feng Shui Book although I did not understand those feng shui thing and not really believed it either.

Well, since my parents keep on asking me to buy a cactus to put on my office desk so I was like, okayyyyyy....No harm, right? ~ There goes, I bought myself a very cute cactus and it did not look like a cactus at all, more like an aloe vera. Lolz...~

I thought cactus is the most easy plant to take care of and I thought to myself that it should be no problem. Hell, all the plant seems the same to me...!!!! They need a lot of care and love too. I have to make sure that my aloe vera cactus is exposed to enough sunlight every day. There is no sunlight on the last few days due to rainy weather. Even tried to water it everyday as I was afraid that it will died of thirst. It started to look unhealthy after spending a week with me. What's went wrong???!!! Hmmmmmmmm.....~

Oh God, I am definitely not a good gardener as well~~~!!!! =(

Well, I guess the Feng Shui thing does not work on me though as the luck is not on my side ..... yet ~

-The Art Of Make Up-

At the age of late 20's and as a young lady, it was a shame to say that I did not know anything about the make up except putting on the lip balm. Not to mention, to differentiate the make up brushes. No idea which make up brush for what purpose.

Mum says to me one day,"Girl, you should learn to put on a light make up especially when go to work. It was a polite gesture."

I did realized the importance of make up where you have to meet the business associates or clients. It showed the politeness, tidiness and beauty. Your image represented the Company's image too. But heck, I really sucks at applying make up!!! I did tried once to put on make up. Draw the eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, cheek blush, eye shadow. Well, trust me....it was horrible!!! I looked like a pale ghost or a vampire ready to go out there to suck people blood. So my conclusion was better not to scare the people away. It makes me look so "not-me", weird and different.

I was mesmerized by the art of make up because I think those colors really look vibrant and pretty. Too bad that I did not have the patience and skill to learn. I hate spending hours putting on the make up and then remove the make up again. It makes my skin felt itch and extreme dry after removed the make up. It had worsen my skin condition. So end up, a plain and simple girl due to my laziness~

My face looks pale and sometimes skin tone is uneven with red pimples and pimple scars on the face!!! Eeeewwww... I hate seeing my face like that~ So there is a thought came across me once in a while - to put on make up to cover up my weakness. It just a thought, anyway.

I really do admired those girls who are good in applying make up. They can transformed themselves from a plain look to a shiny 'Japanese' style look. A thought has bothered me for a long time already and I have been darn curious about it. But .... but .... what if they removed the make up at nights, will their boyfriends or hubby get a shock to see the real them?? How do they feel towards them again?? (I am very bad, right?? I am just been curious only mahhh...) As we all knew the power of make up.

Anyway, on top of that, I still prefer the natural beauty and look......if only my skin condition is good with no pimples and freckles~ ... So let's embraced the nature and yes, go natural!!!!

-Is it a shame for girls who do not know make up????-

-Blogging Makes It Right-

(My favourite dessert from Cafe Cafe in Sibu, Sarawak - 'Banana Pancake')

Reading blogs had become one of my daily activities. I love reading other people’s blog, from their personal life to travelogue or food. You might think that I acted like a stalker or being a ‘busy body’ checking on other people’s life. Since they blogged, they of course want to share publicly. They knew the blogging games, aren’t they?? So I am not in fault to read and trailed on their latest blog. But frankly, I am a disciplined reader. Definitely I am. I just read and get some knowledge or interest from other people’s experience and their amazing lifestyle.

I was fascinated or should I say impressed with their blogging style, their writing skill and their fun, astounding life. Not to mention, inspired by them and admired their courage to write and upload their personal life photos for sharing to the world – which I still not dared to do so. Internet is definitely not a tool you can trust with today’s technology and skill of hacking, stalking, copy and paste, spamming and etc which might affected your life and privacy.

There were professional bloggers who blog for their paycheck. I, in contrast, just blog for fun and took it as an online-diary (since I had stopped writing diary for years after high school). The act of transferring the thoughts in our mind down through our arms, out through our hands and onto paper or the computer screen is incredibly influential. It can gradually start to sharpen a focus that may have become blurry through the reality of living our lives. Not only can this daily exercise remind us of what we find important and what we want to accomplish, but it can also help us to discover more about ourselves and work through our challenges, providing us a fresh, new start every time we write.

Blogging helped me to find back my passion in learning the words. Telling you one small secret of mine – I was actually reading dictionary. No kidding. I had a great passion in learning new words, new phrases and idioms.

But I sucked at grammar!!! Don’t ask me about the nouns, verbs or adjectives and etc. Till today, I still can’t differentiate them.

Learning new languages whether it is Korean, Japanese, or Thai especially through drama, was another passion of mine. Although not yet mastered the language, but I can understand some common and simple words.

So this simple act of expression - blogging had made me started holding my pen, eh wait, should be typing, to write down my thoughts and also flipping through the dictionary while improving my writing skills and let my brain doing some exercise (after graduated, I stopped writing story or ‘karangan’ – composition, so my vocabulary and grammar had been threw in the trash bin for years. It was the time to retrieve those long lost passion....)

Okay, I still sucked at writing. But please applaud for my willingness to try. ^.^

-Getting Shorter as The Time Gone By-

(Of course, my burden is not as heavy as Obama as shown in the illustration above...~ Mine one still consider a small case if compared to Obama's. He is actually carrying the whole world's burden on his shoulder..~)

Do you found that I am getting shorter and shorter??? No kidding.

Definitely not because I am getting older and get shorter. I was actually indicating to my shoulders. Do you see my shoulders were weighted with burden, burden and burden again??? I was nearly suffocated by the responsibilities too. How do you expected me to grow taller under such circumstances??!!!

Nowadays, working is not an easy task anymore - typing in front of the computer, do filing or preparing a few lines of words already called a report. The Boss today is expecting more and more from their staff. They want an impressive report with zero grammar error or typo error. A creativity or something fresh yet still remained the traditional way accredited to your performance appraisal. You must be able to socialize and mingle with associates, colleagues or whoever soul.

Sigh....My reports from a few pages had added up to 20++ pages and soon, it will become a 30++ pages. The new task assigned to me is to prepare the rationale for all the documents which to be signed by the Directors. What the heck~!!!! I really want to knock my head on the wall .... ~

- A Sudden Thought -

What do you think when you are so stressed at work??? What do you want to do when you are so bored with the current environment??? What do you want to do when you want to try something new and exciting in life so that you would not regret???

Okay, stopped all that questions whirling in your head. The answer is .... an Escapable ~!!! Alright, alright....it may sound like an excuse to run away or avoid facing the real world but hey, we got to enjoy our life to the fullest too!!! Say easy, but it was so hard to make it happen. True also.

Hmmm there is a sudden thought strike me today. Even just think of it, I already felt so excited and seems like there is a hope and dream out there awaiting for me instead of stuck here in the office, answering calls, cracking the brain to write an impressive reports or put a stiff smile on the face or worry that the work might not accepted by the manager and etc. I have longed for the life out there. I want to go out there to see the world and experience the different culture even just for a short period. It is my dream!!!

So how am I going to realize my dream? First, I need to get the support and approval from parents – that is the most difficult task ever as I respect them so an approval from them is important to me. Second, there must be enough $$$ in my piggy bank to allow me pursuing my dream and for the first step as well. There is a saying, “Action speaks louder than words” but for me, “Money speaks louder than action and words”. Third, I need to have a huge courage and confidence to do so; ignoring the set-back, burden and responsibilities.

When the age is growing each year, I am getting more and more worried for not having enough time to realize my dream. I did not want to have any regret in my life or when I am 80 years, I hope that I can have a great story to tell my grandchildren. Moreover, being a girl, I did not have much freedom to do so especially after marry. The dream will forever become a dream only. Sigh~!!!!

-SungKyunKwan Scandal-

What should you do when you are extremely bored at home??

What should you do when you are trying to cut down the spending on leisure and entertainment??

What should you do to spend your lazy weekend or during the leisure time??

What should you do to release your stress or tension after a whole day of working???

Yes, WATCH DRAMA OR MOVIES at home~!!!!

It may not be a healthy way as you’ll become a lazy couch potato soon. Might gained weight as well. But for me, that’s the only way to let me forget all the troubles, release my tension and stress and of course, save money. It had been nights I didn’t went out already. It made me stopped taking supper and spends less as well. With the technologies today, we could stay at home watch drama and movies without spending single monies - use PPS~!!!

Since I am an emotional person so whenever there was a crying scene, I would dropped tears too. It was another way to release my tension. When the age is growing, you would not easily dropped tears anymore especially in front of people. We have to swallow all the tears and face the tough situation or obstacles ahead. Of course, different people would have different perspective.

Recently I am watching this Korean drama, ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’. It was a period, romance and comedy drama. Here is the synopsis - this drama is set in Sungkyunkwan University during the Joseon era, revolving around the exploits and love stories of four youths. When her younger brother falls ill, Kim Yoon Hee enters the school in his place disguised as a boy in her desperation to find a way to support him, and becomes friends with Lee Sun Joon, extremely rich and the brains of the gang, playboy Goo Yong Ha and the rebellious Moon Jae Shin.

There’s no need for me to elaborate on the cast and the appearance since as usual, the guy (Micky YooJun – one of the members of JYJ, previously a member of ‘DBKS’ – a popular group in Korea and now in Asia) definitely looks handsome and the girl looks pretty and cute.

As it was a period drama, the words they are speaking are more in a tradition way so a lot of words I didn’t understand. I have to search for the English subtitles or read forum’s comments to understand the whole picture. But it was really a good drama and the love chemistry between the actor and actress was so touching and romantic. The background song also accredited to the scenes especially this ost song, ‘For you it’s separation, to me it’s waiting’.
